Today we're taking a look at the new age emerging British designer Samantha Cole. Needless to say, she's slowly inching up amongst the ranks to ultimate designer stardom!
She's dark, she's edgy, she's everything now and some more. I would call her a modern day industrial fashionista. She has used several inspirations beginning from movies, to celebs in movies. Whats fantastic is that she isnt confined to pure new age futura, but has inspirations from the edwardian and victorian era's to
give a lot more depth to her clothes.
I've put up a few pics from her collects - A journey of self discover and Warrior and New Dawn, all exquisitely crafted focussing mainly on quilting and leather lame'.
Fantastically unique I would definitely define her as being a shoo in for a new eccelctic genre, having her feet firmly placed in both the future and past silhouettes, era's, fabrics and design.

From her discovery of the self collection.
She's extremely feminine, yet having a very strong masculine strength. I love the use of lame and silver for a jumpsuit.

few thinks....

Aviator shmaviator

Couldnt have agreed more, whats with amelia doing the rounds this runway ?
Though i have always been a fan of tom cruise aka Top gun references, this season we could be smothered a bit much with the trend. I hope we can subtle it down a bit ?
Classic Funk
When you team up preppy with pretty it could never go wrong, seen above is a classic example of how you can team up brogues and a very girly crop cardigan to make a pair of bloomer inspired shorts to be uber chic, perfect for lunch with the girls a quick mall hop- MOE here we come :) Love the detailed lace top underneath. The pallete here is nude, but could be fantastic with a fuschia or a neon contrast as well, teamed with a pair of olive colored shorts or denim shorts. Bloomer shorts are all the rage this season and last!!!

Sequins Saga
Where do I begin !! from bags to belts to clutches to hair accessories jewellery ... ITS EVERYWHERE. But draw yourself a fine line with the trash appeal, if worn in the wrong way it could be disasterous, I particularly like the below combination of camel and bling. A sombre gold to make it suitable for a club but definitely not striking enough to have the mob cops stop you for public disturbance by lighting :), toned down even further with a third color black (the boots) I suggest similar combos in shades of black sequins or silver, teamed with other solid colored footwear and a pair of neutralising stockings to complete the look with finese'.

Fatal Nudity!!

Atlast the color has come to its own, past two seasons have dabbled with the shade so much that we achieved many takes on it. Couldn't be happier that nude is now officially a shade of pink, Not beige, not taupe, not gray... ITS PINK PINK PINK, and blush pink at that :)
Contrasting accessories, belts, nail tints, make up work wonders for this look. It can revolutionise your wardrobe once you have a few key pieces to highlight. A nude lace dress could work well with a military embellished or leather jacket. Military rugged boots and a pair of textured stockings, either with flock polka dot details or lace design (New look has sever options for textured stockings)

Thigh highs all the way

Ahhh...another day gone by and yet another looms ahead, i believe as emily (blunt) rightly said
"I love my job... i love my job...i love my job!!! "

But of course I do, what when you're a buyer n all.... i'm wearing my Parisian Scarf today (by that i mean a scarf that I actually bought in Paris.. teehee) Its silk has the Paris sights and looks like an abstract painting in dust rose and green sploshed all over it.

Now to todays fashion discussion....THIGH HIGHS.... ooh i am soo ready for winter to hit dubai.. or should i say Dubai to hit winter. the ecclectism of Dubais commoner makes the place ever more challenging to blend in, fashionably speaking of course, but there's a cherry on the pie of course, the neverending line of stores and boutiques calling out to you as you step foot on to the only sane thing to do on a Friday afternoon, MALL ATTACK..
soo lets see, thigh highs - who brought on this amazing trend,

Mqueen and Vivienne Westwood did it and now so do we!!!

Also does paris street fashion put all the others to shame or what, check out her thigh highs worn on a walk to the metro.. rock it girl... Would looove to own those..

Worn with a trendy jacket or a Tunic belted casually, this trend is definitely one to indulge in, it makes up for any lack in your wardrobe as it speaks for itself on class appeal. But mind you worn wrong you could look straight out of Julia Roberts role in pretty woman and be trash appeal instead!!!!

These tie up at the thigh pair is simply gorgeous and the comfort and utility factor gives it my thumbs up...

Here's a coupla more pictures to give a clearer idea on how to wear this must

The bow theory

Where have all the bows from the yesteryears gone .... right into 2009 Autumne Hiver palatte of most of the A list designers, when where and how the comeback is one with a bang and one which would be dained a surefire fix to an otherwise boring outfit, Numero Uno Campaign with Heidi the plain t shirt could do with the added detail of a contrast bow in various textures and shades.

A bag could screem feminity like nothing else with the add on of a bow on the strap. A beaded necklace interlinked with chains and a satin bow add an element of goth.

All victorian prints colors and shades make a comeback with the bow being assentuated at prime spots!!!!

Be it oversized, un
